Kwan Chong Biography

chong2Kwan Chong(L.Ac, Dip.Ac) has studied Oriental Medicine as an apprentice under several distinguished masters from various parts of the far east, Korea, China, and Japan.

An unique aspect of Master Chong’s practice is his pursuit in the holistic well-being of his patients. As a practitioner of Tae Kwon Do and Yoga, Master Chong acknowledges the importance of maintaining one’s mind, body, and spirit, and this comprehensive healing philosophy is apparent in all of his acupuncture sessions. His techniques work in harmony with the entire patient’s person and capture the essence of Oriental medicine theory.

Acupuncture, though rich in history, is still a growing medical practice. In order to keep up with the latest skills and techniques in the acupuncture community, Master Chong has attended conferences hosted by various groups taking more than 50 CEU in a year.

As he has inherited his grandfather’s vocation of traditional Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture, he continues to deepen its healing effect as he expand his knowledge and understanding in the matters of mind, body, and spirit. The most comprehensive healing effect of acupuncture and oriental medicine comes from his experience as an environmental engineer(B.S), hospital chaplain, and psychotherapist(MTS), and theologian(M.Div.) He can reinterprete patient’s condition from various angles and discipline to remove not only the symptoms but also the root of the problem. He also likes to provide preventive medicine for the patients.
